Could You Help Keep Our Village Hall at the Heart of Our Community?

Our village hall has always been more than just a building.  It’s where friendships are made, celebrations are shared, clubs meet, children play, and our community comes together.

Unfortunately, we are still looking for someone to take on the role of Chair of the Village Hall Committee.

Our previous Chair stepped down last year after giving their time and dedication to the hall, and despite several appeals, no one has yet come forward.

We completely understand that people are busy.  Many assume being Chair means endless meetings, paperwork and carrying the whole responsibility alone.  The reality is very different.

Our committee is made up of committed and supportive volunteers who work together.  The Chair’s role is simply to help guide meetings, encourage discussion and provide a little leadership.  You don’t need previous experience – we can help with that.  What matters most is someone who cares about our village and wants to see the hall continue to thrive for future generations.

Without volunteers willing to take on roles like this, the future of the hall becomes increasingly uncertain.  We’d hate to see such an important part of village life struggle simply because no one felt able to put themselves forward.

If you’ve ever enjoyed a coffee morning, a party, a class, a fundraising event or simply knowing the hall is there when the community need it, perhaps now is the time to consider giving something back.

Even if you’re unsure, please get in touch for an informal chat.  There is absolutely no obligation, and we’d be delighted to explain what’s involved.

Together, we can make sure our village hall continues to be a place where our community can meet, celebrate and support one another for many years to come.

Please contact Emma on info@sticklepath.org if you’d like to find out more.
